Exercise tips while sitting at your computer:
1. Sit properly in a good chair designed for desk work and maintain an ergonomic body posture while you type.
2. Get up every half an hour, stretch, walk around, and give your eyes a break from the computer.
3. Roll your wrists to prevent carpal tunnel.
4. Do not hunch at your computer, as this will only make your posture poor. To prevent this, open your arms wide as if you are going to hug sometime and rotate your wrists externally. Pull your shoulders back and you will feel a stretch.
5. Contract your abs and glute muscles by flexing them. If you doing this periodically throughout the day, it will help strengthen them.
6. To avoid becoming still, stretch your torso, legs and arms frequently.
7. Invest in an exercise ball to sit on at your desk. This helps build your core by sitting or bouncing.
