The New Bingo Bones is here!

Alas, the new Bingo Bones has arrived! We have revamped the site to bring you more international bingo information, promotions, and excitement! Check out the "Cork Board" section! If you want to pitch a bitch, post an announcement or congratulate a roomie, simply click on the "Cork Board" and you can post all your messages! These messages will be posted in the Bingo Blaster each week.

As you can see, I have created my own blog! If you ever want to know what I'm up to, check it out! I will be putting information about Bingo Conference that I attend, and updated news that I hear of.

I'm really happy with the new site. Our creative team worked long and hard to get it up and running! Please continue to email me and send me messages in the chat forum. I would love to hear what you all think of the new and improved Bingo Bones!

Can you guys believe it is already the middle of March? Craziness!! Does anyone have any plans for St. Patricks Day? It's nice that it falls on a Saturday this year so people can go out and enjoy their green beer without having to get up the next morning for work! Keep an eye out for our St. Patty's Day promotion which will be revealed on Monday!

UK bingo players speak out

UK Bingo players are very upset with the government who is destroying their bingo play. The government has threatened to close over 200 bingo clubs as a result of the tax legislation, license costs and the smoking ban.

The Bingo Association launched a UK-wide petition this week in attempt to make the government rethink their treatment of the industry. The petition is focused at bingo players and is part of a national campaign called “Stop Destroying My Bingo”. The objective of the petition is to make the government aware of the public opinion in respect to bingo.

Bingo is a key part of many communities and closing the bingo door will only upset people nationwide. People will be devastated when they are unable to play with their friends, raise money for charitable events and play their favorite game. One player commented that she loves the game because she can go out with her m other and daughter. “Tell me another activity where three different generations can go out together and have an equal amount of enjoyment, excitement and success?”

Since the smoking ban was introduced last year in Scotland, 12 clubs have closed and other have experienced up to 120% in losses forcing some clubs to close. This number is only expected to increase.

National Women's History Month

In 1981, the U.S. Congress established National Women's History Week, which in 1987 turned into a month long celebration to recognize the contributions of women to the history and culture of the United States.

The Women's History awareness helps recognize women's work accomplishments everyday, every week and every month along with the men's accomplishments. It is important that our culture views the women's perspective in all aspects including: religious institutions, the workplace, schools, the media and political discussions.

2007 is a special year celebrating the 50th anniversary of the integration of Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas and the 30th anniversary of the National Women's Conference in Huston Texas.

Speak with your friends, girlfriends and family this month. Why not start recognizing women now so they do not get overlooked and ignored. “The National Women's History Month provides the opportunity for recognizing significant historic and contemporary female role models for girls and boys, men and women.”

Idol GIVES BACK

The crew at American Idol reavealed last night that they are giving back to the community. On April 24 and 25, 2007 Idol is hosting a two-night special to benefit children and young people in need. This program will help raise awareness and funds for oragnizations to provide relief programs to help children in extreme poverty in both America and Africa.

On April 24th, the top 6 singers will sing "life anthems". Like usual, viewers will vote for their favorite Idol. For every vote cast, American Idol and other partners will donate money to the charity. On April 25th, the Idols will find out who goes home, and artists such as Gwen Stefani, Josh Froban, Pink, Michael Buble, Annie Lennox and more will be at the show in support.

This program will help people around the country aware of poverty and health issues and allow them to help GIVE BACK. Using the power of the most popular television show will help raise millions of dollars for this cause.
