Real windy spot but nice.
Not sure it is the best for the American's based on the unfortuante incident with the girl that went missing last year.
Nice, clean and the beachs were good. Pretty expensive. |

| Aruba rocks! - awesome bars and great nightlife; wind isn't a problem - take a windsurfing lesson there -it's the best place in the world to learn |

Stay away from Aruba, Mexico, Cuba cheap places that will get you in trouble. Head north to Vegas you will have fun.
Me and my friends take a bus trip every year to Vegas. Wonderful time. |

Tend to agree.
Stay stateside for a good time. More comfortable, and Vegas is the answer to everyones cure. Vacation, sit by the pool, excitement go to a show (careful prices are rising), and gamble you choose - time of day, game, stakes. A good vacation is one that leaves you tired and you are guaranteed that from Vegas. |

Stay in the states.
To many crooked cops out there. I have had friends who have had to bribe cops on Mexico on more then one occassion. |

| Bring your own water, you'll never know. My friend caught something through the water. Althugh he wasn't drinking water out there, maybe it's the ice on the alcohol. He's fine and planning to go back!! |

| yo Spring45 - I wouldn't group Aruba in with Cuba. Price wise Aruba a way more expensive - but that's 'cause you can actually get a great meal there. Cuba on the other hand...food was crap everywhere. |

Yeah Cuba is great for a low key time, sit by the pool have a beer, then sit by the pool the next day and do the same thing.
Aruba sounds pretty splendid as far as a resort goes, great restaurant beaches, etc. |

| are you kidding me? Cuba has some of the nicest beaches I've ever seen - the pool's only a good place to go if there's a swimup bar |

I know someone that went to Aruba, and they really liked it. Just make sure you get the shots you need before you go. I see all those commercials about people not drinking the water directly, but once the ice cubes melt, you can get sick.
I agree, swim up bars are amazing!!! Dominican is really nice too! I went on a vacation there in Feburary to La Romana, and it was incredible. |

| As far as it being a safe place to go, just don't go off the resort if you feel like it may be unsafe and if you don't want to deal with the cops. Most good 4 star resorts are secluded enough and have enough stuff there to keep you busy so you don't have to leave. |
