Does anyone here watch the X-Factor on ITV1?? Question

I LOVE IT!! (Especially the ones who can't sing and make absolute fools of themselves on national TV!)

You will recognise Simon Cowell from American Idol, did you not spot Sharon Osbourne in the middle there? The other guy is Louis Walsh, a music manager but no-one cares about him really. LOL. Well over in the UK we have the X-Factor. It's basically the same thing, but they have 3 categories 'Under 25s', 'Over 25s' and 'Groups' - so basically anyone can go in for it. The winner gets a recording contract as per usual these types of show.

The best bit is they get some right weirdos on it at the beginning for auditions. Have a look at this legendary one... I challenge u not to laugh.

That's interesting. Now what kind of talent is it? Singing? I know that Simon Cowell was part of "America's got talent" which was a brutal show! lol...

But what type of stuff do they have to do?

The first part of the show is an audition phase, and they let a few useless ones in as well as the talented, so its really funny. Last year the show actually won a comedy award!! Razz

After that, its pretty much the same stuff as the other shows: live performances, the public vote, one gets voted off each week until we have a new superstar.

Only difference with X-Factor is the range, i.e., Under 25s, Over 25s and Groups. Makes it a bit different.

I love it!

To get you in the X-Factor spirit, or if you've never seen the show before, check out these clips from the show.

Simon Cowell insults 'Vicky Pollard' contestant: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYYNlEKRpkU

This contestant thinks he's the British Eminem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8xSSnlEKf0

Chicken Factory worker makes a tragedy out of the BeeGees 'Tragedy': http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJTJcdxzD-c

Onkar Judge thinks he is Michael Jackson: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7ilbC4kJhY

If that's not comedy I don't know what is.

LOL

Yes its amazing how dilusional some people are, whats sad about that show is they move them onto the judges (they go through a bunch of auditions first) just to be ridiculed on live t.v. , ratings come before anything I guess.

Yes thats why the show is so entertaining, it certainly isn't because of all the "average/ok" singers they find.
