| I just picked up a Cockapoo and her name is Sadie and is she ever smart, I have had labs, poodles, shepards and by far she is the smartest dog i have ever owned. If anyone is looking for a great dog grab a cockapoo you will not regret it. |

I wanted to get a dog, but where I live the shelter (i wanted a mix breed/mutt) won't even talk to you unless you have a fenced in back yard and no kids, which I have. So my only other option is to spend a bunch of money on a puppy from the store which I do NOT want to do because I have heard horror stories about how those puppies come from puppy mills and they have serious problems.
Am I wrong for believing that? |

| My sister got her dog from the pet store and she seems to be ok but I know what you mean. Alot of thoes dogs look ... mangy... I always feel bad for them cause they looks so unhappy being put on display for everyone to see. You could try going to a breeder but you will be paying alot for the same dog you could get from a shelter. |

| I went with a friend to get a st.bernard from a breader. my god it was insane cause they had this fenced in area the size of your average backyard filled with adult st bernards, they are awsome dogs though.. but very expensive. |
