It's lots of fun being a CM. At our site, our players become voluntary CM's or VCM's as we call them, simply because they love the site so much!
In fact, quite alot of our VCMs have gone on to get paid work as CM with big UK pay-to-play Bingo sites. |

Hi Everyone
When a CM has worked at a site for a while they get to know their players and what a room will find rude and what can be acceptable. What seems rude to one may not be to another but as a CM we are there to make sure nothing gets out of hand. We can't catch things befor they are typed but we can make sure that everyone knows what is acceptable.
Just remeber if a player is being rude we always have our CM eject button.. hehe

CM's keep the bingo community alive and make the site fun and enjoyable.
With all the legislation and purchasing restrictions I imagine a number alot of CM's are out of a gig.
Anyone needing a lead post it here and we should all help our CM friends. |

Hi PrincessSue,
That's very true. I know alot of CM's who just got laid off because of the U.S law.
If I hear anything I will let you all know. If you are from a country outside of the U.S now is the time to look for thoes CM job's!! Wink Wink

Hi Suzicutie!
Wow great question lol. I was playing bingo and saw the CM talking to a few players about how she became a CM and I started thinking this could be a great new job for me. I started sending out my resume to every site I could think of and after a few months I got a call.
It was a long process. No one was phoneing or emailing me and I had forgotten about the job when the call came. However it is a great job. I was shy befor I started and it's really helped me to get over that.

That is a good question and doing what CM_Ashtie did is a great way to network. If you are interested in CM jobs, several bingo sites have spots where you can post your resume.
If they do not have this on their site, you can also contact the support who will either ask you to send your resume to them, or they will give you the appropriate contact.
Hope this helps!

I think being a CM would be an intresting job, but I don't really understand a few things about it...
Do all CM's work from home? How would they know you were in and out at the correct times? How would you get trained?
Thanks

Hello Pickapatty,
Working as a CM is a fantastic job! I have to say it's one of the best I have had over the years. As far as I know yes we all work from home (atleast everyone from my site does). Working from home is great cause noone can see you in your PJ's!
Some sites have a program that will log what time each CM has logged into the site and off the site so they can make sure everyone is in the rooms at the correct time. The site I work for has us use MSN msg so we can keep in contact with each other incase we have questions or something is wrong.
I was Trained over the phone. I would sit in the room and watch the other CM untill I was comfortable being the one running the room while the other CM watched me to make sure I had it all under control. I'm sure all sites are different in the way they train their new staff but don't worry you'll never be tossed in a room not knowing what it is you have to do.
I hope this helps
