The best method for me is alot of little meals during the day. No three squares for her majesty.
Some toast in the morning with alittle marmalade or jam.
Late morning a tea with a cookie.
Lunch some soap and a piece of bread.
Apple or fruit bowl in the afternoon.
A few veggie's with a chicken breast for dinner.
A treat for before bedtime.
There you go and mix it all up the following day.
The best way BRAT is to have a plan and follow it up. |

I like the style of what you are suggesting PSue...
Me thinks I still have to exercise alittle. Prefer to walk over jogging but the weather her is pretty cold now so I think I will get a treadmill. Here they make noise but if I put it where I see it each day I will use it.
Maybe I should put it in the kitchen........ |

| Bingo Brat - don't get a treadmill. I recommend an eliptical trainer - easier on the knees and gives a great workout |

I agree with you Boozehound. When I go to the gym, I find that running on the tredmill is way harder on my body than the elliptical. Even my physio thearapist said that that is what I should be using. Either that or the bike.
I love the treadmills for walking, but for a good work out I would suggest something different. |

| If you don't want to buy a gym membership or equipment for your home, just power walk everyday. Thats what my wife does, and she looks great. |

| As long as you watch what you are eating then you should be okay... I like walking too and find that a little walk after dinner is perfect |

| I was talking to a personal trainer at my gym and he said if u want to lose weight saftly you have to speed up your metabilism by eating at least 5 times a day which comes out to eating around every 3 hours and the portions should be no more than the size of your fist...also anyone who tells you that you can keep eating what you usually do doesn't know what they are talking about, to get into shape you have to change what you eat (HEALTHY FOOD) and stay active...running is the best way to drop the pounds. |
