If anyone has any product info that they would like to share or some products that everyone should stay away from or even if there are some deals going on out there.

Well last year I purchased a JVC home theatre system in a box and it was a 5 disc changer, i never had a problem with the speakers and trust me I pushed them alot but the 5 disc changer kept acting up. It was about 4 weeks after my purchase, the disc changer broke and chewed up a cd in the process so I brought it back to futureshop and they replaced the unit with a brand new 5 disc changer on the spot and now 8 months later the same problem with the disc changer. I love Jvc so don't get the impression I'm trying to bash JVC all I want is to warn people to stay away from the 5 disc changer systems stick to single discs.

If anyone is looking for car audio brands stay away fron sony and panasonic, sound quality is crap. Stick to poineer and alpine they have the better sounding units.

I agree maximus i had a sony cd player in my car and the sound quality was crap and you couldn't really do much with the deck feature wise to clean up the sound. I spent the extra couple bucks and got a pioneer cd player and I was speechless, the sound was crystal, alot more features, better eq the list goes on. BUY PIONEER you won't regret it.

I was just in futureshop today and i saw the coolest thing for home audio it called the Monster AVS 2000 Home Theatre Automatic Voltage Stabilizer
it allows you to get the cleanest sound possible without ANY distortion going through the speakers or what ever you have hooked up to it. This model is one of the more expensive units there are cheaper units out there for around 3 to 4 hundred. Check it out. |

I don't know where you live Judge but Best Buy has a nice Jamo surround sound package for about 5 to 6 hundred. Also there is a nice Yamaha home theatre system(DVXS301S) its around $350+ with 2-way speakers and has a progressive scan dvd player.

I would suggest you look at Best buy and future shop frequently to check for deals and if you go to their website you can sometimes get additional discounts. Just stay away from Jvc and sony home theatre systems their not bad just not my preference in home theatre. You may find one you like for cheaper.

Just want to let everyone know that if you are looking for a great sub for home theatre go to futureshop and pick up a velodyne. I noticed the difference right away, it sounded amazing, crisp, sharp bass with no distortion. a must buy !!!
